How can my mixed media work express both the physical and emotional changes of life?I explore the fragility of life through colorful display as it follows a girl who begins to recognize the fleeting length of life. I mainly used watercolor and experimented with collage, acrylic, gouache and charcoal as a way to emphasize depth and light and shade. I revised (11,8) through collage to give more render.
How can my mixed media work express both the physical and emotional changes of life? I explore the fragility of life through colorful display as it follows a girl who begins to recognize the fleeting length of life. I mainly used watercolor and experimented with collage, acrylic, gouache and charcoal as a way to emphasize depth and light and shade. I made drastic changes between mediums in order to show how life can be unpredictable and uncertain.
I originally wanted to illustrate how impactful a person can be on others' lives. I later changed this idea to pursue different aspects of life- such as realization, acceptance, sacrifice and ultimately appreciation. Due to my change in idea, I had to revise a piece in order to embody what I truly meant. I completely scrapped the piece because it didn't illustrate the full meaning of growth or volition. I used multiple mediums such as collage to show change and for the different shades to resemble uncertainty in periods of our lives.
Across the multiple works I explored I tried to relay aspects of life. The aspects are realization, acceptance, sacrifice and appreciation. I used mainly used watercolor to illustrate a distant memory and collage to emphasize eeriness (11) and change (8).
Your revision is moving in the right direction with a clearer question and mention of media. To improve further, focus on being more specific about your experimentation and revisions especially explaining what you changed and why.
