How can my media work express my understanding of life? I explore the fragility of life through colorful displays & a variety of mixed media. My Si follows a girl and how she begins to recognize how nimble time can be and how our bodies change along with it. People tend to take advantage of life. That makes you question, do you even value our lives? My goal through this project was to show how fragile time is as well as our bodies. I mainly used watercolor in my artworks as it is the most comfortable medium for me. I experimented with collage, charcoal, gouache and acrylic, mediums I consider fairly difficult for me. 

Describe ways your SI developed through practice, experimentation, and revision. 

In each piece I tried to relay my understanding of time and life. Life goes by very fast and in order to show that I dedicated 3 pieces to it, each with their own aspect (5,8,10). Throughout my art work I explored different aspects of life: realization (10) acceptance (11) sacrifice (12) and appreciation (3,7,9). The first two pieces show how a person can bring so much light and happiness (1-2) the (4,8,10) pieces show how our physical bodies are not immune to time. The (7,11) emphasizes acceptance and old memories we treasure.
