In this artwork I only used watercolor, I sed it to show depth and a sense of belonging as well as nostalgia all at the same time. Like a photo capturing a bunch of friends having fun. I began by drawing out my figures first and adding the first layer of watercolor to it and after the people were done I went and did the background last. The words at the back spelling out "ONCE". I wanted to show a captured moment as I mentioned before that there are fun times in out lives and we have to have the heart to cherish it. Just as smoothies that add sweetness to our daily activities friends add sweetness to our lives and make life more enjoyable. The reason I chose ONCE as the background word is that I wanted to reiterate that we only live once and the people we hang out with are important and make an impact on the one life we are given.
Work on Esther's teeth (and all gums should be pink) Ester's mouth is in shadow so a dark red will make it recede. Nice job! great energy, really feels like friendship happiness vibe. lettering helps too I'm glad you kept the contrast after all, esp with the direction of the straws. :)
