In this artwork I wanted to show how the girl is leaving behind her traditions and culture, she's "moving on" from it, and going to a different country ( America). The traditional clothing on the floor as well as her headpiece shows the lack of respect and love she has for it. And the pictures on the wall represent her lineage and how her ancestors used to dress and live.
The process of my art, the very first sketch and the starting process of my coloring. I wanted to make the colors of the clothes traditional and with a lot of detail. The headpiece on the floor is supposed to resemble how little she cares about it and shows she's not complete in her traditional clothing without the headpiece on, but ofcourse she's bored and doesn't care about picking it up from the floor.
