In this artwork o used watercolor to show contrast and juxtaposition through the colors. I bang by drawing my figures and began painting over it with a light blue and went over it with dark blue in order to add depth. The art work represents one aspect of life: Age. I tired my best to capture that through the 5 stages of life: baby, kid, teenager, adult and old(?). I tried to represent how fast life changes and flies without us even realizing and that is shown by collapsing them together.

In this artwork I want to use watercolor to show continuity and juxtaposition. I began by sketching my idea using five heads to show the 5 phases of life. Ultimately, what I want to show how is fast life can pass without us even realizing it. (How it escapes our grasp) We’re a kid in a moment and an adult in another. I want to show that by merging all them together and make it look as if they’re all one. And the teenage face is the only one aware of that and will looked surprised and a bit anxious. But this piece is essential to my inquiry as it shows how fragile life is as we age and there’s nothing we can do about it

In this artwork I used watercolor for everything to show color and contrast. I drew my sketch and with the help of a reference picture the idea for a rainbow covering half the canvas came. For the other I used a background “maker” (forgot the name) with the color green to contrast the red and orange. I wanted to show how fragile life is by first showing how fragile our bodies are, by showing how even our skeletons aren’t immune to decay and eventual nothingness. But the flowery green background represents a sort of “hope” that we leave behind in this world.
